Web Based Information From And For Surrey - www.justsurrey.co.uk

Who We are And What Do We Do

Justsurrey is one of the few countywide independent portals, the content is provided freely and with the minimum of editorial control. We largely respond to the information requirements of our users and suggestions of our researcher. During the life of this website the quality and quantity has gone through significant changes, largely to provide information sought by our audience. For this reason we particularly value user feedback, we have a standing invitation for our users to let us know what they think we should cover more or less often.

If you see something that needs to be changed or deleted we would also like to hear from you, just drop us a line with the relevant information (the content to be changes, the page on which it can be found, the suggested changes and your contact details) we're always happy to correct factual errors. Everything you find on the website is connected to the county or is published for the benefit of our audience.

We define Surrey along local authority boundary lines so information will reflect the day to day lives of people in the local authority areas of: Spelthorne, Runnymede, Surrey Heath, Woking, Elmbridge, Guildford, Waverley, Mole Valley, Epsom & Ewell, Reigate & Banstead and Tandridge. Despite the fact that Surrey is one of the most densely populated counties in the UK there are only two towns with populations over 50,000; Guildford with a population of around 68,000 and Woking with 63,500 inhabitants. Other towns with large populations include: Ewell and Camberley, Epsom, Farnham and Redhill. A point of interest is that due to the shifting boundaries of Greater London the administrative base for the county council is Kingston upon Thames which is not in Surrey. There have been several proposals to move the HQ into the county but for some strange reason nothing comes of them.

Our aim is to publish information all the time there is an audience and that the site can deliver a return on the investment of its creation and maintenance. Our approach to content is very much collaborative, so if you have some thoughts get in touch.
