23/01/12 Funding Secures Free Football Sessions - Surrey Heath Borough Council

Surrey Heath Borough Council has been successful in securing funding from Sportivate to deliver free football coaching sessions for adults with learning difficulties in preparation for the Southern Region Special Olympics Football Event.

The project is in partnership with R-U-Able-2, Mytchett Football Club and Marcadamy Coaching and has been fully supported by the Surrey FA. It will involve participants receiving 6 free coaching sessions initially, a new kit to play in, free transport to the tournament and an opportunity to access heavily subsidised FA Coaching Qualifications.

The sessions start on Tuesday 17th January, 7.30 to 8.30pm on the astroturf at Tomlinscote Sports Centre, Frimley, GU16 8PY.
